9:10 am on 29 August 2012

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minster says the issue of marine safety in the Pacific region is a huge concern.

Peter O'Neill says he will table the report of the inquiry into the Rabaul Queen disaster, in which at least 140 people died, in Parliament on September the 4th.

He says the report has been discussed by Cabinet.

"It is a huge concern. About marine safety in the community, and at the same time we are talking about regional transportation, sea vessels and sea transportation is an important part of the Pacific way of life. So, that will be one of the issues that we will be discussing."
