9:13 am on 11 September 2012

Investment opportunities in Samoa will be promoted at a conference in Auckland, New Zealand, at the end of next week.

The conference is being organised by the New Zealand Samoa Trade and Investment Commission and sponsored by the Pacific Cooperation Foundation.

The Chief Executive of the Pacific Cooperation Foundation, Meg Poutasi, says the event is an exciting opportunity for businesses and individuals who are interested in investing and working in Samoa.

The conference will be a platform for several infrastructure opportunities to be presented and issues crucial for potential investors, including: land reform, manufacturing, agriculture and fisheries, commerce, industry and labour, finance, revenue and customs, and tourism.

Speakers from Samoa include officials of the Samoa Tourism Industry, Samoa Association of Manufacturers and Exporters, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Banking Association of Samoa.
