The Solomon Islands opposition leader and MP for North East Guadalcanal, Dr Derek Sikua, has withdrawn a motion of no confidence in the Solomon Islands prime minister, Gordon Darcy Lilo.
Following the motion's withdrawal shortly before parliament's first sitting of the year this morning, Mr Darcy Lilo raised questions over Mr Sikua's own ability to lead.
Parliament was then adjourned until Monday, when a supplementary budget of more than 35 million US dollars will be the main item of business.
