The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look set to get out and about in the Solomon Islands today.

They arrived in Honiara yesterday, as part of a nine day tour of the Asia-pacific.

Laura Gemmel is a spokesperson for the charity World Vision, and says today people will get a chance to interact with them.

"They are calling on the prime minister this morning and then they heading to the cultural village where there are ten huts set up and nine of those represent provinces, there will be traditional dancing and the tenth hut is the World Vision hut."

Laura Gemmel says the visit has not been overshadowed by the latest royal picture controversy.
