Fiji has been made the guest of honour at this year's Pacific Fair in New Caledonia.
The trade fair in Noumea has about 160 exhibitors from a range of businesses - slightly more than last year when an estimated 6,500 people a day attended the event.
For the occasion, Fiji has sent several dancers and performers.
The delegation is being helped by the New Caledonian government and the French embassy in Suva as part of a move to help the French territory integrate in the region.
The four-day fair will close on Sunday.
