The takeover of the Pacific Forum Line by the Samoan government has been officially completed.
The government of Samoa says the takeover was finalised on Monday this week.
It says Samoa is committed to the objectives of maintaining shipping services to encourage economic development of all Pacific countries.
The Samoa government says it will secure the successful future of PFL through a more suitable business model that will benefit all stakeholders.
It says its priority is to satisfy all old and new PFL customers, including all Pacific countries.
