Sport: Fiji Warriors still have plenty to play for

Fiji Warriors coach Lance Whippy says, while the title may be secure, there's still plenty to play for in Monday's Pacific Rugby Cup clash against Samoa A in Nuku'alofa.

Tonga A beat Samoa A last week to ensure the Warriors team cannot be overtaken at the top of the standings.

But the champions elect still have matches against Samoa and Tonga before they can put their feet up.

Coach Lance Whippy says they still want to finish strong while some individual players will be trying to catch the eye of national coach Inoke Male.

"This is one of the platforms that actually helps Fiji Rugby so we can really say that the things we are doing are working, the systems are in place. For the boys this is an opportunity for them to showcase themselves and maybe find gaps for them to actually play for the Flying Fijians in the November tour."
