Samoa appoints new electoral commissioner

A senior lawyer working for the Attorney General office in Samoa, Susuga Papalii Malietau Laupepa Malietoa, has been appointed the new Electoral Commissioner.

He replaces Tanuvasa Isitolo Lemisio who has reached his retirement age.

And a senior officer at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community head office in Fiji, Falanaipupu Tanielu Aiafi, has been appointed to be the new CEO for the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture.

He had held a senior a position at the National University of Samoa before taking up the post at the SPC.
