The Cook Islands says it has attracted 70 foreign tourism wholesalers for its annual industry forum, called Kia Orana Cook Islands.

The event will run in the first week of December and will be the industry's biggest opportunity to showcase itself to overseas holiday wholesalers.

It has been held twice before.

The tourism corporation's director of sales and marketing, Karla Eggelton, says the top 10 wholesalers from each market will be attending.

Highlights of this year's programme include a visit to Aitutaki for a day, with optional island experiences in Atiu or Mangaia to explore the network of caves and eco-nature tours.
