5:34 am on 10 November 2012

There are more chances for people in Fiji to register for the election from Saturday, with another 4 weeks of the Electronic Voter Registration being undertaken.

Those voters who have already enrolled will get a chance to verify that they are on the provisional roll.

The acting permanent secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Mere Vuniwaqa, has called on all Fijians to participate in the second phase of registration.

She says close to half a million Fijians have already registered to vote in the 2014 elections, but they need to check those details to help produce an accurate voter list.

Fijians who have not registered to vote will have the opportunity to register at the same registration centres.

Registrations centers will be open in Navua, Lami, Suva, Nasinu, Nausori, Korovou and Lautoka on the 10th.

From the 12th centres will open in Nadi, Sigatoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Labasa, Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Levuka on the 12th.
