American Samoa-based Inter Island Airways has resumed service after being down for three weeks while awaiting an engine part.

The airline has flown to Samoa and to the Manu'a island group.

Manu'a residents say they are happy with the resumption of commercial flights.

The territorial government's plane, Segaula, had been providing a service for the island group.

The Samoa government owned Polynesian Airlines has been providing inter-Samoa flights.
