China has given the Pacific Islands Forum a grant of 650,000 US dollars.
A quarter of a million dollars is for the Pacific Islands Trades and Invest office in Beijing and the remainder goes into the China - Pacific Forum Development Cooperation Fund.
The Forum secretary general, Tuiloma Neroni Slade, says the agency and China have built an important economic relationship particularly in the areas of trade development and investment spanning over several decades.
