9:15 am on 19 November 2012

Experts from Australia, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank are in Samoa for two weeks on a fact-finding mission.

They are in the country to look at how they can help the Samoa government carry out major investments in public infrastructure over the next four years.

The priorities in infrastructure development include widening and rehabilitating existing roads, renewable energy investments, and potential project to lay a submarine cable for faster and cheaper broadband.

The priorities were drawn from Samoa's National Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2012 - 2016.
