The Australian group, the Refugee Action Coalition, says an Iranian asylum seeker attempted to kill himself in the detention centre on Nauru.
The group says the man was taken from the camp, but it was not known whether he has been taken to the medical centre or the hospital.
Another Iranian man has entered a 42nd day of hunger strike in a protest aimed at getting his claim processed.
