Sport: Injuries force changes to Manu Samoa line-up

11:05 am on 23 November 2012

Injuries have forced the hand of Manu Samoa coach Stephen Betham ahead of Sunday morning's rugby test against France in Paris.

Second five Paul Williams is undergoing an operation on his cheekbone while lock Daniel Leo and Faatoina Autagavaia are both out for up to a month with knee and wrist injuries.

The trio have been replaced by Johnny Leota, Iosefa Tekori and four try debutant Robert Lilomaiava.

The only other change sees Tii Paulo start at hooker in place of Ole Avei.

The team says it is looking forward to the opportunity to challenge France on their home turf and are focusing on their own systems and game plan.

Depending on other results, Samoa could move into the top eight of the IRB World Rankings if they win.
