Digicel Samoa has presented a bonus payment cheque worth over 21,000 US dollars to Manu Samoa.

The team has returned from a successful Northern Hemisphere tour with two wins over Canada and Wales and one loss to France.

Manu Samoa has also returned home with an eighth IRB ranking and hopes for a better pool in the 2015 World Cup.

Before last week's defeat to France, the prime minister and chairman of the Samoa Rugby Union Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi had announced that there would be a bonus for the team if they won all three games.

When the team defeated Canada and Wales, they automatically received a bonus of over 12 thousand US dollars.

Despite the loss to France, Manu Samoa's move up the rankings to an eighth placing earned them over 8 thousand US dollars.

The SRU could not confirm how much each player would get, but said it will be divided equally amongst the 30 players who went on the tour.
