Fiji authorities are enlisting the help of mariners and villagers to locate four men who have been missing at sea for 10 days.

They were among 7 people on board an open fibreglass boat that capsized after leaving Levuka for Batiki Island on Saturday last week.

The police, who are investigating what caused the capsize, say they want people on the coast to keep a lookout.

They also report the vessel's captain is being questioned on claims he and his crew had been drinking during the trip.
