Reports from Vanuatu say the Minister for Infrastructure and Public Utilities and MP for Tanna, Harry Iauko, has died.
The Daily Post says according to government sources, Mr Iauko passed away in the Northern Provincial Hospital in Luganville.
His body is said to be flown to Port Vila for a state funeral and will then be returned to Tanna for burial.
The circumstances of his death are not known.
