Sport: Fiji hockey falls just short of perfect week

Fiji won one of two Oceania Pacific Cup hockey finals in Suva at the weekend to fall one game short of a perfect week.

The men's and women's teams had earlier made it through the round robin phase unbeaten, and both won gold in the FIH World League Round One tournament.

The women's team finished the week undefeated after edging defending OPC champions Australia Country in the final.

But the men failed to replicate their group phase success against Australia Country, losing a scoring final 7-5.
