The head of a women's non-governmental organisation is calling on Fiji's interim government to provide more detailed information about exactly who has been evacuated following the cyclone.
Tropical Cyclone Evan, ranked four out of five on a scale of severity, hit the country's western division hardest and gave the town of Lautoka the worst battering.
The Fiji Red Cross says more than 13-and-a-half thousand people are now in evacuation centres in the aftermath of the storm, with flooding still affecting the central division.
FemLINK Pacific's executive director, Sharon Bhagwan Rolls, says in order for organisations such as her own to be of most assistance they need a more specific statistical breakdown.
"How many of them are men and women, how many of them are boys and girls, so it's really important that for the right type of humanitarian assistance that we're getting that kind of information on the number of females, are there nursing mothers, what about the elderly, the disabled. We know the elderly, for example, need special medication as do persons with disabilities."
