A member of Fiji's Constitution Commission, Peni Moore, says the interim government did not intimidate it into cancelling a meeting on the draft constitution at the weekend.
The Fiji Labour Party has accused the Commission of coming under pressure to cancel the briefing for NGOs and political parties.
Cyclone Evan forced the meeting's postponement until after the Commission presented the draft to President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau on Friday.
Ms Moore says the Prime Minister's office then told commissioners they weren't to discuss the document any further.
"There was not even an argument. We no longer are commissioners. Our role stopped as soon as we handed it over to the President so we didn't have a foot to stand on anyway."
Peni Moore says the draft and its explanatory report will be published on the Commission's website.
