A man in American Samoa convicted and currently serving time for raping his daughter has had his request for parole denied.

Samoa News reports that the Parole Board met recently to consider applications and testimonies by four inmates seeking to be paroled.

The newspaper says one of the cases involved a man who had raped his own daughter over a period of time, impregnating her.

The second case was that of a man who had raped an off-island student.

The third case was a man sentenced for second degree murder while the fourth was an arsonist and repeat escapee from the Territorial Correctional Facility.

A Parole Board member says all four requests were denied but declined to give specific details.
