The first group of young New Caledonian volunteers will fly to Vanuatu today.
The group of the newly launched organisation, SVO, is made up of scouts who will help renovate the scout premises in Port Vila.
It will also distribute school materials collected in New Caledonia.
A second group of volunteers is due to go to Vanuatu in a month for a longer stay and be deployed in sectors such as education and agriculture.
