The Cook Islands tourism authorities say their promotional meetings last month have been a success.
The Tourism Corporation chief executive Halatoa Fua says the Kia Orana Cook Islands forum allowed 157 delegates, including 47 international buyers from 13 countries, to see for themselves what the country has to offer.
Mr Fua says the Corporation and local tourism operators have started following up with the visiting wholesalers to capitalise on the forum.
He says the support from the tourism industry, NZ Aid Programme and the government was imperative in the forum's success.
