A high level military delegation from China has met Fiji's interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama in Suva.
Fiji's Ministry of Information says the delegation, headed by Major General Qian Lihua, Chief of the Foreign Affairs Office in China's Ministry of Defence, discussed defence cooperation between both countries.
China's support towards Fiji's military has seen the deployment of machinery towards infrastructure developments across the country to support rural development projects.
China is to increase assistance to Fiji in the form of vehicles, uniforms and stationary equipment as well as training opportunities for defence personnel.
