American Samoa chooses retired US Army officer as Director of Health

A retired US Army officer has been appointed by American Samoa Governor Lolo Moliga as the new Director of Health.
Motusa Tuileama Nua of Ta'u Manu'a was command sergant major for the Pacific Medical Command at Tripler Medical Centre in Hawai'i.
He was the first Samoan to hold that job.
Before that he was the senior enlisted of the 44th Medical Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
If confirmed it will be the first time in more than two years the Department of Health will have a permanent director.
