A star-studded line-up of rugby league talent is expected at today's Fiji Bati training session in Sydney.

Head coach Rick Stone and assistant Joe Rabele are conducting a one-day camp with Fiji's top Australian-based players, as part of their continued build-up to the World Cup in October and November.

Vinnie Wylie has this report.

"Among the high-profile names expected to be in attendance are New South Wales State of Origin reps Jarryd Hayne and Akuila Uate, Panthers utility Wes Naiqama, and Broncos legend Petero Civoniceva, who now plies his trade for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup."

While attendance doesn't guarantee a player will commit to the Fiji team, Joe Rabele says the signs are good.

They showed their interest because our first training camp in Sydney, they all attended the first training camp. Rick has sent me the names of all these high profile players - the only one that's missing out is John Sutton so if he's interested in joining these top professional players from Australia, if he agrees to be part of this World Cup campaign for Fiji, I think Fiji will have a very very very good team for this year's World Cup.

Joe Rabele says all of the big names have been included in Fiji's extended 40-man World Cup squad, which was submitted to officials on Friday.
