The head of a new resort in Fiji says he expects two hundred jobs to be created with its opening.

Paradise Cove is to open in the Yasawa's in July.

The resort's Chief Executive Officer Nick Wood says Paradise Cove will create a lot more jobs in the Yasawa community and ancillary small businesses, along with a broadening of the market, attracting those who normally stay at Denarau or the Mamanucas.

Mr Wood told the Fiji Village, there will also be more beds in the tourism sector and ongoing improvements in the variety and quality of products, which he hope will attract more tourists to Fiji.
