Sport: NZ and Fiji to meet in potential U20 decider

9:21 am on 27 March 2013

The Oceania Under 20 Championship could be decided in Lautoka on Wednesday.

Defending champions New Zealand go into their match against Fiji on the back of three straight wins, while the hosts are a perfect two from two, and have enjoyed three days of rest following a bye.

A win for the Junior All Whites would seal their place at the Under 20 World Cup in Turkey later this year, while a draw would leave the hosts requiring a sizeable win over Papua New Guinea in their final match.

New Zealand coach Chris Milicich says this is a situation they have prepared themselves for and they won't be backing off.

In the early game today, New Caledonia take on Papua New Guinea with both sides still searching for their first win of the tournament.
