A election petition from the former governor of Papua New Guinea's Morobe Province has been thrown out.
Luther Wenge had challenged the victory by Governor, Kelly Naru, citing bribery and undue influence against him and members of his campaign team.
But the Post Courier reports that the court dismissed the petition, calling Mr Wenge's evidence deliberate lies.
The court found that all the witnesses called by Mr Wenge had fabricated their stories.
