Fiji regime gives more time for feedback on its draft constitution

The deadline for submissions on Fiji's draft constitution has been extended until April the 26th.

Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, had earlier announced that all submissions were to be handed in by this Friday.

But Commodore Bainimarama confirmed the deadline extension in a radio-talkback show.

Fiji Live reports him saying submissions and consultations have been extended because of the number of requests received for an extension.

The Prime Minister says all submissions made regarding the draft constitution will be taken into consideration.
