The Vanuatu businesswoman Ti Tham Goiset has refuted the government's revocation of her appointment as Roving Ambassador to Russia and Eastern Countries.

Last month, the new Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Natapei announced the revocation of Ms Goiset's diplomatic status due to irregularities in her appointment.

However her legal representatives claim that under the law, the Minister cannot unilaterally revoke her appointment, and that it can only be removed by the President of the republic on recommendation from the council of ministers.
