American Samoa's domestic flights resumed over the weekend with a flight to the Manu'a island group.

The island group has been without air service for two weeks due to mechanical problems with an Inter Island Airways plane, which was grounded at Faleolo airport in Samoa.

The required parts arrived last Friday and the airline dispatched a team to Samoa to fix and ferry the aircraft back to Pago Pago.

Ocean transportation service also resumed for the island group on Friday after the MV Sili was certified by the US Coast Guard, following 30,000 US dollars repairs to the vessel.
