PNG to help fund 2014 Fiji elections

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has announced that his government will provide more than 11 million US dollars to assist Fiji prepare for elections in 2014.

Fijilive reports that Mr O'Neill made the announcement following talks with the visiting Fiji regime leader, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, in Port Moresby.

The two sides signed a joint statement, calling for stronger relations.

They also agreed to allow their nationals visa-free travel between the two countries.
