Papua New Guinea police say they have no suspects in the murder of an Australian expatriate.
Bob Purdy died instantly after being shot on Monday, when a group of between seven and 10 men stormed his house on the outskirts of Mt Hagen in the Western Highlands.
The men then raped a female guest at the house.
The woman, understood to be from the Philippines, was taken to Mt Hagen hospital for treatment.
A police spokesman says in recent months there have been incidents and attempted break-ins at the Banz coffee plantation, where the house is located.
Three security guards had been interviewed, but police have no suspects as yet.
The Highlands divisional commander, Teddy Tei, has told the Post Courier newspaper he is disgusted by the murder.
