10:30 am on 22 April 2013

The defending champions New Zealand have won their third straight game at the Oceania Under-17 Championship, after pipping host nation Vanuatu 2-1 in Luganville.

In the other third round matches on Sunday, Fiji beat Papua New Guinea 2-0 and New Caledonia won 5-0 against the Cook Islands to move into second place in the overall standings.

The Young All Whites are three points clear at the top and can wrap the tournament up on Tuesday if they win or draw against Fiji and New Caledonia fail to beat Papua New Guinea.

The winner of the Oceania tournament will represent the region at the Under 17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
