Efforts to sell American Samoa govt plane continues

11:01 am on 25 April 2013

Efforts are forging ahead in American Samoa to lease or sell the government aircraft Segaula, and due to be completed by the end of this month.

The government is negotiating with Inter Island Air to lease the Segaula.

But the 7 seater aircraft is considered controversial because of the involvement of the former governor Togioloa Tulafono's business partner, George Wray.

The plane has also had mechanical problems and hasn't been well maintained spending more time on the ground than in the air.
