Sport: Big crowd expected for Auckland City v Ba clash

8:07 am on 4 May 2013

Auckland City football coach Ramon Tribulietx is expecting a bumper crowd for tomorrow afternoon's Oceania Champions League semi final first leg against Fiji champions Ba.

City advanced to the semi finals as runners-up from Group B while Ba topped Group A after going through undefeated.

Extra ticket outlets have been opened to cope with demand for tickets to Sunday's match and Ramon Tribulietx says everything is set up for a great occasion.

"There's a big Fijian community in Auckland and that's going to make it very interesting. Probably it's going to make it like proper football. We're going to probably have over three or four thousand people turning up at Kiwitea Street this Sunday and overall it's great to be involved and it's great to have an opportunity to compete and to keep going in the competition."

The opening leg of the other semi final between Amicale FC and Waitakere United is this afternoon in Port Vila.
