The police in Papua New Guinea are appealing for the public to come forward with information about the notorious escaped prisoners, William Kapris and Raphael Walimani.

The two men broke out of Bomana jail last Monday, allegedly with assistance from some prison staff.

A reward for the men's recapture is expected to be announced today.

Police have set up a joint command with Correctional Services for the hunt and Port Moresby metropolitan commander, Andy Bawa, says they have received information the duo has left the city.
