Three political parties in Fiji have decided not to declare the finances of their adult children.

The National Federation Party, SODELPA and the Labour Party all filed members' assets and liabilities with the Registrar of Political Parties by last Friday.

The Political Parties decree also required them to declare the finances of their spouses and children but the government has not given a definition of child.

Parties say they have agreed to interpret it as dependent children below the age of 18.
