American Samoa governor recovering in hospital

American Samoa's acting governor, Lemanu Peleti Mauga, says governor Lolo Moliga is doing fine and recovering well at George Washington Hospital in Washington.

Loa, who was visiting Washington with a delegation from the territory's government, was taken to hospital last Friday after experiencing pain.

He was admitted for observation.

But his health status is improving as Lemanu told journalists in Pago Pago.

"He's up and about and walking around and usually the observation takes about 1 to 2 days before he is released from the hospital. So we don't foresee any major complication or anything that worries us."
