American Samoa's governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga will remain in Honolulu for up to three more months for medical check-ups.

Lolo has been in Honolulu for about two weeks after being in hospital in Washington DC for an unknown illness.

Speaking to his cabinet today in a conference call, the governor says he is doing well, making all required doctors appointments for medical check up.

In his absence, Lolo says the acting governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga will continue to lead the government with the support of cabinet members.
