The Prime Minister of Tonga, Lord Tu'ivakano, has led a Tongan delegation to a United Nations Climate Summit in Abu Dhabi, saying it's important small island states work together on the issue.
Called the Abu Dhabi Ascent, the special two-day meeting, finishing today, is one of several coming ahead of the UN Secretary General's Climate Summit in September in New York.
The preliminary meetings aim to lay the groundwork to ensure more ambitious action plans are announced by world leaders at the September meeting.
