Pacific Forum looks to cut travel costs

3:46 pm on 2 July 2014

The administrative arm of the Pacific Islands Forum is seeking to cut the money it spends on travel.

The Forum's secretariat says in 2012 it spent more than 5 million US dollars on travel, with half of that on airfares.

The organisation is calling for tenders from travel service providers.

It says it wants to get the best value for money and will give preferred supplier agreements to successful tenderers.
