The National Disaster Management office in Solomon Islands is still waiting to repatriate about 1,000 people who were displaced by the flooding in April.
The director Loti Yates, says they are waiting on more government funding to help relocate those people still staying in evacuation centres.
Mr Yates says they are encouraging families to return to their villages, where they have extended family and in many cases, a home.

He says many of the affected people have lived in Honiara for years for work but low paying jobs forced them to live in cheap housing in high risk flood areas.
"What we are saying is, you know you can always come back if you're working, you can remain at your work place, you can send your families back home, have them live in much more comfort than what they are now in, and then when you find an alternate home, you can always take them back."
Loti Yates is hopeful they will get funding for repatriation packages in the next week or two.
