The board of the American Samoa Telecommunications Authority has voted to end the contract of the Chief Executive Officer, Moefaauo Bill Emmsley, with immediate effect.
Our corespondent says according to reliable sources say Moefaauo was served on Friday in a letter from the board regarding its decision made on Wednesday afternoon.
Moefaauo, himself a former board member, was appointed CEO in April of last year.
In removing Moefaauo, the board has appointed deputy CEO Alex Sene Junior as acting CEO.
