Fiji Cabinet sworn in

The new Fiji Government has named its new Cabinet line up with 18 ministers sworn in this afternoon at Government House in Suva.

They have given the oath of allegiance following the landslide victory of the Frank Bainimarama led party in last week's election.

The former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is to be Minister of Finance, Tourism and Trade in the new administration.

The Attorney General portfolio and Justice goes to newcomer Nadi lawyer, Faiyaz Koya.

Dr Neil Sharma lost his post as Health minister, which has been given to the former Labour minister Jone Usamate.

Ratu Inoke Kubuabola retains the Foreign Affairs portfolio.
