The former head of French Polynesia's mission in France has been charged with bullying and risks to be given a suspended jail sentence.

Maeva Salmon was at the mission for five years until 2012 and is alleged to have bullied five staff members.

Tahiti's daily newspaper says her actions reportedly led to some people taking sick leave.

She says she has been the victim of a plot.

A ruling is expected on December the 18th.
