Reports from Vanuatu say an entertainment company with interests in China is to offer a new style of gambling to Vanuatu.

The Daily Post Newspaper reports Amax International Holdings plans to offer live-dealer online gambling to high-rollers in the country.

Amax is an investment holding company engaged in gambling and entertainment related businesses in Macau, Hong Kong and other parts of China.

Amax says it has agreed to acquire 50% of a British Virgin Islands company, Forenzia Enterprises, that is reported to hold a Vanuatu online gaming licence.

The new venture will involve the installation of a closed-circuit, live-dealer studio in Port Vila which would only be accessible by terminals located in VIP gaming rooms at local hotels or other commercial buildings.
