The Samoa rugby league coach says the team has responded positively to the night-club incident which led to three players being stood down ahead of their opening Four Nations match against England on Saturday.

Reni Maitua, Tautau Moga and Sauaso Sue were not considered for selection as they are being investigated for their part in a skirmish which led to at least one player being reportedly arrested.

Matt Parish says he is deeply disappointed in their antics but is not dwelling on the incident.

"That's what rugby league is about, you get your ups and downs and then you've got to move on. You can't change what's happened, it's how you react to it. The group acted very positively. We've got a mammoth task in front of us Saturday night but again we've trained well. We've had a really good preparation in Samoa. We've trained really well here and it's been fantastic training here at Norths. They've got great facilities and we're really enjoying it."
